Web Mail
The web-mail allows you to send and receive e-mail from any web browser anywhere in the world. It supports folders, has a spell checker, has an address book, and lets you customize the look and feel. To share messages and folders with your mail program (Eudora, Outlook, etc.) you must be using IMAP. To log into the web mail open your favorite web browser and go to:
NOTICE: If you have a pop-up blocker, you may have trouble composing or replying to messages. This is because these functions require a pop-up window. To fix this be sure and add mail.csusb.edu to your allowed pop-ups. Please refer to your pop-up blocker or web browser's help file for more information

How do I get replies to go to another e-mail address?
In to the web-mail do the following:
- Click on "Options".
- Click "Personal Information".
- Type in the e-mail address you want replied to go to in the "Reply-to Address" text box.
- Scroll down to the bottom and click the "Save Changes" button.
How do I add a signature to the end of my messages?
In to the web-mail do the following:
- Click on "Options".
- Click "Personal Information".
- Check "Include this text in each message you compose:".
- Type in your signature in the text box.
- Scroll down to the bottom and click the "Save Changes" button.
How do I attach a vCard to my messages?
In to the web-mail do the following:
- Click on "Options".
- Click "Personal Information".
- Check "Attach vCard to messages".
- Fill in your personal information such as your first, last, and full name, your title, e-mail address, and your telephone number.
- Scroll down to the bottom and click the "Save Changes" button.
Please remember that you must choose a secure password. Your password must meet the following criteria:
- Password must be between 6 and 8 letters/number/special characters.
- Password must contain a special character that is NOT the first or last character.

In to the web-mail do the following:
- Click on "Options".
- Click "Password".
- Type in your old password.
- Type in and confirm your new password.
- Scroll down to the bottom and click the "Save Changes" button.
Why aren't my messages moved to the Trash when I delete them?
By default, messages are marked for deletion, waiting for you to click the "Expunge" button. However, displaying deleted messages with your regular e-mail is often not desirable. To enable the Trash folder do the following in the web mail:
- Click on "Options".
- Click "Settings".
- Under "Deleting Mail", select "Move deleted messages to" and select your Trash folder.
- Scroll down to the bottom and click the "Save Changes" button.
My mail quota is always full. How do I prevent this?
This often happens if you do not regularly empty your trash. You can automatically empty your trash when you log out by doing the following in the web-mail:
- Click on "Options".
- Click "Settings".
- Under "Deleting Mail", select "Move deleted messages to" and select your Trash folder.
- Check "Empty folder on logout".
- Scroll down to the bottom and click the "Save Changes" button.

Is there a way to automatically check spelling?
Yes. To set this up, do the following in the web-mail:
- Click on "Options".
- Click "Settings".
- Under "Spell check", check "Always check spelling before sending a message".
- Scroll down to the bottom and click the "Save Changes" button.
I know I have more mail. Where did my messages go?
The web mail only displays a pre-defined number of message descriptions per page. You can see other pages with more messages by doing the following:
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page.
- If there is more than one page of messages there will be a drop-down list with a message range (i.e. 21-30) between the < and > buttons. Either select the range of messages you want to view, open the previous page of messages by clicking the < button, or open the next page of messages by clicking the > button.
Can I display more messages in my message list?
Yes. The number of message descriptions per page is selectable up to 100 messages per page. To set this up do the following in the web mail:
- Click on "Options".
- Click "Appearance".
- Under "Message List View", select the number of messages to display per page from the drop-down list.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the "Save Changes" button.
How do I enable the vacation feature?
You can enable the vacation feature either in the web mail or through Delegated Administrator. If you are already logged in to the web mail, you can enable the vacation feature there. To set this up do the following:
- Click on "Options".
- Click "Vacation Message".
- Check "Enable automatic vacation reply".
- Completely fill out the form, including the start date, stop date, days between replies, subject, and the on and off-campus reply message.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the "Save Changes" button.
