California Pre-Doctoral Program Information Session
Are you a junior, senior, or current graduate student planning on pursuing a Ph.D. If so, this funding information session is one you don’t want to miss! The California Pre-Doctoral Program (Pre-Doc) provides financial assistance for students interested in exploring and preparing for a doctoral program. Through this program the CSU Chancellor’s Office provides funding as the Sally Casanova Scholars award to juniors, seniors, and graduate students who wish to pursue doctoral degrees. Working with a CSUSB faculty mentor, Pre-Doc Scholars may use the funds to visit U.S. doctoral-granting institutions, obtain membership in professional organizations, subscribe to academic journals, GRE preparation, and to cover the cost of graduate school application and test fees. Scholars may also apply to participate in a summer research program at a doctoral granting institution with the U.S.
