Cesar Caballero, dean of the John M. Pfau Library at Cal State San Bernardino, will be among the Citizens of Achievement honorees on Sunday, May 7, by the League of Women Voters of the San Bernardino Area for their contributions to the community.
Caballero was recognized for his leadership in revitalizing the Pfau Library during the last five years, making it an important and significant resource for the university as well as the community.
Most recently, on April 30, the library — with Edward James Olmos, Latino Literacy Now, and the CSUSB Santos Manuel Student Union — presented the 5th Annual Latino Book and Family Festival on the campus, featuring authors, writing workshops, literary forums, book signings and readings, a book giveaway for children and other activities to promote literacy.
This will mark the 41st year that the league has honored people who have contributed to the community.
Also being recognized with Caballero are Judith Ashton, Dianne Landeros, Nellie Moore, Ramona Ramos, Renee Richmond, Jamie Rios, Gwen Dowdy Rodgers, and the Swans Club of San Bernardino.
