The Cal State San Bernardino College of Arts and Letters (CAL) hosted its 13th Faculty Colloquium on April 23, and featured three faculty members: Carmen Jany, professor of Spanish; Annie Buckley, professor of art; and Nicholas Bratcher, assistant professor of music.The CAL Faculty Colloquium, which was introduced in spring 2015 and has been held each quarter since then, is where CAL faculty members share their scholarly, professional and creative activities.Following a welcome by Luz Elena Ramirez, professor of English, and opening remarks by Rueyling Chuang, interim dean of CAL, the three faculty members presented their work. Jany discussed his work “Negation in the World’s languages: The case of Chuxnabán Mixe.” Buckley presented “City without a Name: Co-Creating Spaces for Positive Change.” And Bratcher presented “Diversity and Inclusion in Wind Band Concert Programming.”For more information about the CAL Faculty Colloquium and to look at past presenters, visit the CAL website.
