During a meeting with a higher education policy adviser, Morales and Cal Poly Pomona President Soraya Coley also met with Gov. Gavin Newsome to discuss the progress of the CSU’s 2025 Graduation Initiative. CSU representatives also met with Assemblymember Jose Medina, D-Riverside, chair of the Assembly Higher Education Committee, to convey the CSU’s support for the governor’s budget proposal and that the CSU stands ready to serve additional students should the state Legislature and governor decide to fully fund the CSU’s enrollment and Graduation Initiative request.
