Ralph H. Petrucci, 85, professor of Chemistry from 1965-1990, passed away on November 4, 2015. His B.S. was from Union College (Chemistry) and his Ph.D. was from the University of Wisconsin, Madison (Chemistry). A founding faculty member of California State College College at San Bernardino (the initial name of CSUSB), he also served as chair of the Natural Sciences division and dean of Academic Planning. One of his textbooks, General Chemistry:  Principles and Modern Applications, was in its tenth edition at the time of his death and was in use around the world.  His family established the Ralph H. Petrucci Chemistry Scholarship in his honor.  Two awards are made annually to chemistry majors demonstrating both merit and an interest in a chemistry-related career. He was survived by his wife Ruth, his sons Jim and Peter, his daughter Mak Nai, and two grandchildren.
