With the advent of the new academic year, about 1,350 Cal State San Bernardino students will move into campus housing villages on Sunday, Sept. 16, in preparation for the start of fall classes on Thursday, Sept. 20.Move-In Day, which starts at 9 a.m., officially launches Welcome Week 2018 for students who will make the university’s residence halls and apartments their home this year.Move-In Day will also feature various activities for students and volunteers between 12:30-2 p.m.It also marks the opening of the university’s newest housing, Coyote Village, which will be home for 407 first-year students. Coyote Village also features study spaces, a large multipurpose room, and will be home to two faculty-in-residence and the Honors Program.Returning students and new first-year students will also be moving the university’s Serrano and Arrowhead Villages on campus, as well as into University Village, an apartment-style complex across the street on Northpark Boulevard.The week will feature a host of activities to help students settle into campus life.Activities begin at the Serrano Village Quad on Sunday:
- Ice Ice Yotie Ice-Cream meet-and-greet, 6-7 p.m.
- Howl @ Me at the University Village Center/Pool, 7-8 p.m.
- Espresso Yo Self, Village Square, 8-10 p.m.
In addition, there will be various Week of Welcome activities scheduled throughout the week.
