The Gamers Lounge at Cal State San Bernardino’s Santos Manuel Student Union will host “Back to School Supply Drive” fundraiser on Thursday, Oct. 13.
The fundraiser, with all proceeds donated to Northpark Elementary School, will be held in the SMSU Gamers Lounge from noon-4 p.m. Free access to all games will be available throughout the day.
“We wanted to donate school supplies to a local elementary school because they visit campus and see that going to college is possible,” said Jessica Trevino, event coordinator for the SMSU Gamers Lounge. “We want to encourage them to work hard in school.”
CSUSB students, staff, and faculty are encouraged to bring any school supplies (pencils, paper, crayons, etc.) to the Information Desk in the student union, located near Starbucks. Donations will be accepted all week.
The Women’s Resource Center and the Pride Center will also have a table where anyone can stop by in the Gamers Lounge from 2-4 p.m. and create a card of encouragement for a Northpark student.
