Tomás D. Morales, president of Cal State San Bernardino, was named among 25 leaders and role models in higher education from throughout the country in the Oct. 17 issue of Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education magazine.
Morales, who is in his fifth year in leading the university, was one of three California State University campus presidents highlighted in the article, 'Hispanic Leaders and Role Models in Higher Education.' The other two are Mildred García, president of Cal State Fullerton, and Eduardo M. Ochoa, president of Cal State Monterey Bay.
Morales recently received the President’s Award for Excellence from the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities, the Ohtli Award from the Mexican government for his work on behalf of Mexican nationals and higher education in the Inland Empire, and earlier this summer was named one of 2016’s “101 Most Influential Latinos” by Latino Leaders Magazine.
