How to start a business will be the topic of a free workshop in Ontario on Tuesday, Feb. 16, by the Inland Empire Women’s Business Center, a program of the Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship at Cal State San Bernardino.
“The ABCs of Starting Your Own Business” will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Ovitt Family Community Library, 215 East C St., in Ontario. To register, visit the IEWBC website.
Participants will receive an overview of resources to help them through the start-up process, as well as contact information for the many government and business entities that are part of that process. The workshop also will have information to help participants understand the different legal forms of business organization and funding sources for local existing and aspiring small business owners.
The Inland Empire Women’s Business Center, located 3780 Market St. in Riverside, is a program of the Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship at Cal State San Bernardino.
Housed in the College of Business and Public Administration, IECE, which administers the program in collaboration with the U.S. Small Business Administration, is inland Southern California’s leading organization dedicated to supporting and promoting entrepreneurship.
The IEWBC provides business counseling, training and mentoring designed for women business owners.
Corona business owners and residents have access to the Corona Business Assistance Program as a resource partner in their pursuit of small business growth and success. The CBA program offers monthly start-up workshops and provides free business counseling by appointment only.
