Summer ended on Sunday morning for 1,300 students who officially became residents of Cal State San Bernardino, as they moved into the three campus housing villages in preparation for the first day of classes on Thursday, Sept. 21.

On hand to welcome them to the university’s residence halls and apartments, which will be their home this year was CSUSB President Tomás D. Morales, now entering his fifth year in leading the university.

“Move-In Day” on Sept. 17 officially kicked off Welcome Week 2017 as returning students and incoming freshmen moved into the university’s Serrano and Arrowhead Villages on campus, as well as into University Village, an apartment-style complex across the street on Northpark Boulevard.

Sunday also saw the start of a host of activities to help students settle into campus life. Sunday’s events included: Ice Ice Yotie Ice-Cream meet-and-greet, Howl @ Me at the University Village Center/Pool and Espresso Yo Self at Village Square.

In addition, there will be various Week of Welcome activities scheduled throughout the week. Floor meetings for on-campus residents will be held on Sept. 18-19 from 4-5 p.m.
