The DEN Food Pantry on June 8 received a large donation in food and funds, courtesy of family and friends of C.E. “Tapie” Rohm, professor emeritus of information and decision sciences.
When Rohm recently celebrated his 70th birthday — and his retirement — at his home, guests brought non-perishable food items or cash donations, which was augmented by a donation drive held by the departments of information and decision sciences and marketing at Cal State San Bernardino’s Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration.
The DEN (Delivering Emergency Nourishment), run by the university’s Office of Community Engagement, received more than 400 non-perishable food items and more than $1,000 in donations as a result.
“Professor Rohm you certainly left paw prints on our hearts forever,” the Office of Community Engagement said on its Instagram post.
The DEN provides emergency food to students in need. Contact the CSUSB Office of Community Engagement at (909) 537-7387 or leaveyourpawprint@csusb.edu for more information
