Cal State San Bernardino has been listed among the best colleges and universities in the nation and California in four categories by College Consensus, a college ratings website.
The rankings include:
- Best Public Colleges & Universities – 41st out of 100
- Best Value Colleges & Universities – 50th out of 101
- Best Online Graduate Schools – 29th out of 100
- Best Online Colleges & Universities in California – 6th out of 10
In the category of Best Public Colleges and Universities, the rankings are based on two parts – the publisher ratings, an average of all rankings of college ranking publishers, and thousands of real student reviews from around the web. The results, according to the rankings that regardless of size, location, form, or classification, these are the colleges and universities that have the best schools ranking based on publisher and student ratings – the colleges the experts admire, and which ones the students love.
In the category Best Value Colleges and Universities, the rankings were based on schools that qualified for a College Consensus and then ordered them from lowest to highest according to the most recent out-of-state tuition and fee information published by the National Center for Educational Statistics.
In the category Online Graduate Degrees, colleges and universities ranked by College Consensus were narrowed to those institutions offering at least three fully online master’s degree programs and then ranked by their College Consensus score. CSUSB offers four 100 percent online programs that include Master’s in Teaching Leadership (MATL), Master’s in Business Administration (MBA), Master of Public Administration (MPA), and Master of Arts in Criminal Justice. The university also offers blended online programs that include Nursing RN to BSN, Nursing MSN, Master of Arts in Education, Master’s in Social Work Pathway Distance Education Program, and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL).
In the category Best Online Colleges in California, the rankings used the online services college consensus method of using published rankings and student reviews for one overall consensus score and then using that score and offering at least three online degree programs.
