Cal State San Bernardino’s Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration has been listed among the top business schools in North America and as having one of the best online MBA programs in the world, according to CEO Magazine.
CSUSB was listed in Tier One in the magazine’s North American MBA rankings and was No. 47 out of the top 89 in online MBA programs in the world.
“We in the Jack H. Brown College strive to make our business programs exceptional and rewarding, and this recognition ratifies our efforts and the outstanding faculty who engage with our students,” said Lawrence Rose, dean of the Jack H. Brown College. “We are proud to offer such a high-quality MBA program that transforms our students into successful future business leaders and entrepreneurs.”
According to its press release, CEO Magazine has been showcasing top business schools from around the globe since it first launched in 2008. In 2012 the publication launched its annual Global MBA Rankings, profiling MBA, Executive MBA and Online MBA programs.
This year CEO Magazine reached out to business schools across North America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa), and ranked data from 180 schools, offering 338 different programs in 27 countries (89 online, 90 EMBA and 159 full-time and part-time MBA programs).
Given the current climate, and after liaising with CEO Magazine’s partners who regularly participate in their annual rankings, scores have been expressed as an average based upon data received over a four-year period (2017-2019/20).
Weighting of Data Points (full-time and part-time MBA):
- Quality of Faculty: 34.95%
- International Diversity: 9.71%
- Class Size: 9.71%
- Accreditation: 8.74%
- Faculty to Student Ratio: 7.76%
- Price: 5.83%
- International Exposure: 4.85%
- Work Experience: 4.85%
- Professional Development: 4.85%
- Gender Parity: 4.85%
- Delivery methods: 3.8%
Schools are ranked as Tier One or Tier Two based on their overall percentage score from these data points. Online MBA weighting does not include delivery mode or class size.
Only three other California State Universities join CSUSB in Tier One: Cal State Chico, Cal State Long Beach and Cal State East Bay. The only other CSU on the list of the top global online MBA rankings is Cal State Long Beach, coming in at No. 72.
