CSUSB professor’s 2013 research on online learning cited in article

A paper on online learning by Anna Ya Ni, then professor of public administration and now associate dean in the Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration, was cited in an article promoting the benefits of online learning. The article said, in part, “Online classes also have the potential to make participation less intimidating for some students, according to a journal article from California State University - San Bernardino.”
The article, “Comparing the Effectiveness of Classroom and Online Learning: Teaching Research Methods,” was published in the Journal of Public Affairs Education in 2013.

Anthony Silard, CSUSB associate professor of public administration, wrote the second article in a nine-part series on “Success Without Surrender” for his “The Art of Living Free” blog for Psychology Today. This week, he focused on “How to Limit the Time You Spend Online.”
An excerpt: “Have you set any limits to the amount of time you spend checking emails, texting, or surfing the web?
