Seven Cal State San Bernardino staff members recently participated in the Third Cohort of the Administrative Professionals Career Pathway, designed to help staff master the skills and competencies needed to navigate a successful career as an administrative professional.
This career pathway is a blended-learning model (online, instructor-led, and experiences) hosted over eight to nine months and is intended for individuals currently working in a professional administrative capacity or who aspire to work in an administrative role. Participants are also given the unique opportunity to collaborate with fellow cohort members and receive continuous guidance from their assigned coach.
The university’s Staff Development Center recognized the Third Cohort of the Administrative Professionals Career Pathway at a luncheon on Feb. 28. The cohort:
- Destiny Lara Benzor, administrative support coordinator, College of Natural Sciences, School of Computer Science and Engineering, Academic Affairs
- Lauren Juarez, administrative support assistant, Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration-Management, Academic Affairs
- Lisa Pena, administrative support coordinator, Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration-Management, Academic Affairs
- Ginger Ralston, custodian, Facilities Services-Custodial Services, Administration and Finance
- Taylor Adams, electrician, Facilities Management-Building Maintenance, Administration and Finance
- Elizabeth Perez, basic needs finance and administrative coordinator, Coyote DEN, Student Affairs
- Yaquelin “Jackie” Aguayo, event specialist, Special Events and Guest Services, University Advancement
Cohort 3 coaches were:
