Cal State San Bernardino has been ranked as one of the most affordable universities in the nation by EDsmart, coming in at No. 6 on the list of 10.

CSUSB is one of only two California State Universities to make the top 10, with Cal State LA coming in at No. 3.

According to the EDsmart website, only schools with an average net price of less than $3,000 were considered for the ranking. EDsmart assessed colleges and universities based on data that covers four main areas:

  • Cost (average net price)
  • Academic quality (graduation rate)
  • Student satisfaction (retention rate)
  • Salary after attending (the median earnings of former students who received federal financial aid at 10 years after entering the school)

All data was gathered from the U.S. Department of Education websites College Scorecard and College Navigator.
