The non-partisan Center for the Study of Hate and Extremism at Cal State San Bernardino takes original and collaborative trend analysis to Congress, the U.S. Supreme Court and U.S. Department of Justice, and also to community stakeholders and news media because it believes a civil democracy’s market place of ideas should be informed by facts at all levels.
Along the way, the center, housed in the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice, has earned the reputation for being one of the most accessible knowledge bases of extremism and remedies to it, as well as a forum for people of goodwill from all persuasions to find out information about hate crime and violent extremism.
The center also has become a valuable resource for governmental and academic bodies and journalists around the world for its insight and analysis.
