The CSUSB Chamber singers delivered a captivating performance alongside the illustrious Los Angeles Philharmonic at Walt Disney Concert Hall on Dec. 19. Under the baton of conductor David Newman, the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra provided a breathtaking orchestral backdrop to the choral performance.
"We’re very excited that our CSUSB Chamber singers had this incredible opportunity," said Rueyling Chuang, dean of the College of Arts and Letters. "This is a fantastic moment for our students to gain invaluable real-world experience, and we’re immensely grateful to choir director and chair of music, Lesley Leighton, for her unwavering efforts in making this collaboration possible."
The Dec. 19 event featured an LA Philharmonic production of composer John Williams’ soundtrack of the classic holiday film, “Home Alone.” The inclusion of the chamber singers in this event marked a significant milestone for the ensemble, allowing them to showcase their musical talents on a grand stage.
