Mike Stull, director of the Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship, joined Amanda Hernandez, economic development manager for the city of San Bernardino, were interviewed for a program about the Entrepreneurial Resource Center, a hub of resources for small businesses that is located in downtown San Bernardino.  


Unearthing the hidden histories of Washington’s Black Power Movement

The latest book by Marc Robinson (history), “Washington State Rising: Black Power on Campus in the Pacific Northwest,” was the focus of a book review by writer Leianani Lucas. She wrote: “Robinson’s in-depth history of the Black Power movement in the Pacific Northwest under the landscape of the ’60s is nothing short of a revelation. Specifically, “Washington State Rising” focuses on Black Student Unions (BSU) at the University of Washington (UW) and Washington State University (WSU). Even as a Black Seattleite with deep ties to the area, I was consistently amazed by the information gleaned from the book’s 209 pages.”


State Sen. Hurtado comments on cybersecurity for water infrastructure

Tony Coulson, executive director of the CSUSB Cybersecurity Center, was quoted in an article about state Sen. Melisa Hurtado (D-Bakersfield) inviting federal officials to a coordination meeting on safeguarding the water sector infrastructure from ongoing cyberattacks. Coulson, who has testified multiple times in the support of the bill to various Senate and Assembly committees, stated that, “California needs the ability to coordinate effectively for cyber-attack responses. A cyber-attack is not just a possibility, but a probability.”


Redlands Art Association announces winners in Multi-Media Mini Show

Edward Gomez, a professor of art at Cal State San Bernardino, was the juror for the Redlands Art Association’s 55th annual Multi-Media Mini Show, which is on exhibit through April 4 at the association gallery.
