A documentary by Daisy Ocampo Diaz (history) was cited in an article about Inland Empire cryptids. The article mentioned that what today is known as Mount Rubidoux was originally known as Pá’Čapa by some of the region’s first caretakers, the Cahuilla Band of Indians Tribe. Pá’Čapa means ‘where the water bends,’” according to the CSUSB historian’s research.
