Academic Success and Undergraduate Advising (ASUA) recently hosted a vibrant Lunar New Year event in the Obershaw Dining Room, bringing together students, faculty, staff, leadership and community partners for an afternoon of cultural games, a presentation on Lunar New Year traditions across Asia, lunch and lively conversation.

Held on Jan. 28, the event was more than just a celebration — it provided a meaningful opportunity to:

  • Officially introduce the full launch of the YOURS Program
  • Welcome the program’s inaugural advisor, Lucy Li
  • Highlight upcoming opportunities for student engagement
  • Recognize and appreciate campus and community partners
  • Inform the campus community about the program’s mission and available resources

Dedicated to fostering student success, the YOURS (Yotie Oso Undergraduate Retention & Success) Program offers a range of support services, including guidance from a program advisor, peer-to-peer mentoring, and academic and career-focused programming. Through workshops, community-building activities, and engagement opportunities, the program creates a strong support network for AANHPI students, helping them navigate college life while embracing and celebrating their cultural identities.
