Cal State San Bernardino is again partnering with Barstow Community College (BCC) to expand educational opportunities and make higher education more accessible to students in the High Desert region.
This initiative involves offering four upper division general education and writing intensive courses at BCC, available for the fall 2025 semester. The courses have been selected for their broad applicability across all undergraduate programs, ensuring that they will benefit a wide range of students. These courses are available to enroll in now, and are designed to complement BCC’s existing offerings.
BCC also has resources available to support students. The library and tutoring are available. Another benefit for students is that parking at BCC is free.
This CSUSB and BCC partnership delivers courses over two seven-week sessions, aligning with BCC's semester schedule.
The two seven-week sessions are Aug. 25-Oct. 7 and Oct. 13 – Nov. 26. The format of all courses is hybrid, in-person plus an asynchronous online component. The classrooms are set up with the technology necessary to accommodate hybrid courses. Each class will meet once a week in person. The hybrid approach allows for a more flexible learning experience.
