Cal State San Bernardino’s Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration will host a lively and thought-provoking event, “The AI Debate: ChatGPT vs. Dr. Vincent Nestler,” on Monday, Nov. 3, at noon in the Santos Manuel Student Union (SMSU) South Theater.

Vincent Nestler, director of CSUSB’s Center for Cyber & AI and professor in the School of Cyber and Decision Sciences, will go head-to-head with ChatGPT, OpenAI’s advanced artificial intelligence model, in a debate that pits human expertise against machine intelligence. It will be hosted and moderated by Johanna Smith, professor of theater arts and entrepreneurship.
Nestler and ChatGPT will tackle big questions shaping the future of work and technology, including: Is AI going to take my job? How do we know when to trust AI versus human judgment? What skills should students focus on to stay competitive in an AI-driven world?
Students, faculty, and community members are invited to attend this engaging and interactive discussion exploring the evolving relationship between people and technology — where the wisdom of experience meets the innovation of artificial intelligence.
