CSUSB biology professor Stuart Sumida was quoted as president of the Society of Vertebrate Paleontology about the organization’s stance on members whose names appear in the Epstein files. He emphasized that the Society of Vertebrate Paleontology would follow its established policies and due process before taking any action.

Michael Karp, an assistant professor of history at CSUSB Palm Desert Campus and member of the World Affairs Council of the Desert board of directors, facilitated and coordinated the 21st annual Academic WorldQuest competition at PDC. Nine Coachella Valley high schools competed, and Xavier College Preparatory High School earned first place.
