CSUSB hosted alumnus and author Gary DuBois and co-author Lisa Woodard for a presentation on their book, “The Temecula Massacre: A Forgotten Battlefield Landscape of the Mexican-American War.”
“The CSUSB MBA created a foundation of business knowledge that has allowed me to be successful at multiple businesses I’ve started, owned, managed and sold over the years," said Jason Bennecke ’01, a CSUSB alumnus who is a civil engineer, entrepreneur and author of multiple best-selling books.
In the study, “Another Civil War in America? Comparing the Social Psychology of the United States of the 1850s to Today,” authors Montgomery Van Wart, Cary M. Barber and Miranda McIntyre of Cal State San Bernardino, and Jeremy L. Hall of the University of Central Florida, examined the much-discussed idea of a second civil war.
The two-day forum is geared toward university faculty in their teaching efforts, focusing on what works in the classroom, student feedback on teaching and what strategies have worked.
Villaseñor, who is known for his bestselling book, “Rain of Gold,” will speak at an in-person event that also will be available virtually.
An award-winning author and member of Latino Literature Hall of Fame, Urrea will discuss his identity as a poet, novelist and essayist at CSUSB’s Hispanic Heritage Month virtual closing celebration on at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15.
