Supporting the community through tax season: CSUSB’s VITA program continues to make a difference

Student volunteers with CSUSB’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program prepared more than 200 tax returns this season for underserved individuals and families, securing more than $227,000 in refunds and critical tax credits for the community.

CSUSB’s VITA Program provides tax assistance to the community

CSUSB accounting students who volunteer with the VITA program have made invaluable contributions to both individuals and families in need during the 2024 tax season.

Free tax assistance is offered for low-income individuals and families through CSUSB’s VITA program ahead of the 2024 tax deadline of April 15.
