Daisy Ocampo Diaz (history) was interviewed about “Fire Kinship: Southern California Native Ecology and Art,” an exhibit she co-curated, Elizabeth Castillo (management) was named a CUMU Impact Fellow by the Coalition of Urban and Metropolitan Universities, and Brian Levin (criminal justice, emeritus) discussed the latest FBI crime statistics.

During the June 30 Faculty Recognition Luncheon, CSUSB President Tomás D. Morales (left) presented the 2025 Emerging Scholar Award to Elizabeth Castillo, who is also posed with Tomás Gomez-Arias, dean of the Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration.

Elizabeth Castillo of Cal State San Bernardino and Roslyn Roberts of Sacramento State have been named 2025 CUMU Impact Fellows for their research on improving how universities report community impact. Their work will explore global models of integrated impact reporting, aiming to help institutions better connect reported outcomes to local needs and decision-making.
