CSUSB hosted alumnus and author Gary DuBois and co-author Lisa Woodard for a presentation on their book, “The Temecula Massacre: A Forgotten Battlefield Landscape of the Mexican-American War.”
The scholarship recipients – Caroleena Santana, a psychology major, and Zachary Perez, a business analytics major – were honored at a luncheon at San Bernardino Valley College on Oct. 25.
Edwin Gomez, Riverside County superintendent of schools, the 2024 California Association of Latino Superintendents & Administrators Superintendent of the Year and CSUSB alumnus, will be one of the keynote speakers at the Nov. 14 event. Registration is free.
Another great turnout at one of CSUSB’s most beloved traditions: Homecoming week. This year, 1,800 alumni, current students and community members attended the event to show off their coyote pride and honor the university’s rich history, achievements and goals on Oct. 21-26.
“Education is key. It builds you up, opens doors for you, gives you opportunities. No one can take away what you’ve learned,” said CSUSB MBA alumnus, Patrick Marshall, consultant and founder of the College Collaborative System for justice-involved individuals.
The event will provide CSUSB students and alumni the opportunity to network with over 70 employers from various industries, including technology, healthcare and government.
Cal State San Bernardino will celebrate one of its most anticipated traditions: Homecoming Week, set to take place Oct. 21-26. The event brings together alumni, current students and the local community to honor the university’s rich history, achievements and goals.
CSUSB alumna Stacey Chartier-Grable founded OC Habitats in 2017 as a grassroots organization to address habitat and species conservation in Orange County.
Sam Buenrostro, superintendent of the Corona-Norco Unified School District, was honored by the University of La Verne’s LaFetra College of Education as one of three of its inaugural Distinguished Education Doctoral Alumni. Buenrostro earned a doctorate in education from LaFetra in 2012.
