CSUSB generates nearly $1 billion in economic activity throughout the Inland Empire each year, according to the report. Statewide, the 22 California State University campuses together remain one of the state’s strongest catalysts of economic mobility and innovation.
The National Alumni Career Mobility Survey (NACM), taking place now through Dec. 16, is seeking career satisfaction and insights from college and university alumni who completed their degree in calendar years 2015 and 2020.
“This ranking affirms the deep commitment of our faculty and staff to transforming lives of our students through education,” said university President Tomás D. Morales.
The U.S. News & World Report 2025 Best Colleges rankings listed Cal State San Bernardino at No. 16 nationally for social mobility and No. 45 (the highest ranked California public institution) in its Best Value-National Universities category.
All 23 California State University campuses were rated four stars or higher in Money.com’s 2025 list of the Best Colleges in America, with 15 campuses landing in the top 10 percent of colleges nationwide. Among them, CSUSB emerged as a five-star standout — one of only nine CSU campuses to receive Money’s highest distinction.
The College Futures Foundation’s Four-Year California Mobility Index, along with national recognition by The Wall Street Journal and U.S. News & World Report, point to Cal State San Bernardino’s effort to help its students forge a pathway to a better life, preparing them for careers that will move them up the social and economic ladder.
The new Student Access and Earnings Classification, published this month by the Carnegie Foundation and the American Council on Education, recognizes institutions that foster opportunities for student success, highlighting the value of a college degree.
