^B00:00:05 >> CSUSB is my college of choice mainly because of the investment it has given and invested into me. I feel like CSUSB was, you know, the place that was close to home for my family and I could still come here and commute if need be. But they really showed an investment into my education through an amazing scholarship I earned through CSUSB. It was the Presidential Academic Excellence Scholarship. Through this scholarship, they actually allowed me to live on campus, which was an experience I never thought I would have ever gotten. I thought I was going to have to work multiple jobs and try to keep myself afloat to go to school. And they ended up giving me a full-ride scholarship and to be able to live here on campus and continue to invest in my student leadership in order to get involved and engaged on campus through our housing population and in being a resident on campus and so close to so many resources. It's events, leadership opportunities, clubs and organizations. You can really define your future here. I'm defining my future here at CSUSB by pursuing leadership roles, making connections. My role as ASI president has been such an honor and a blessing to myself and my family to where I've been able to have an amazing impact here on the campus community, on other students through the different initiatives that we do in the student government here. I've had the honor of meeting California senators, assembly members, and congressmen in my role, and that has been an amazing opportunity to pursue, even the public service roles that I may find myself in 10, 20, 30 years, 40 years down the line. So that's a cool, really, really cool experience. This is the place to make your impact. This is where we've all grown up right here in the Inland Empire, Riverside County, San Bernardino County. This is home. And if you want to make your impact on your family, if you want to make an impact in our community, this is the place to do it. ^M00:01:53 [ Coyote Howl ]
