Cal State San Bernardino will award an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters to alumnus William M. Stevenson during its Spring Commencement ceremonies on May 15-16. A longtime banking professional, educator and supporter of the university, Stevenson is being recognized for his decades of service to the business community and his lasting contributions to CSUSB and the region.
Rosario de la Luz Rizzo Lara (sociology) will present the opening talk on March 10 when she discusses her book, “Analyzing Motives in Semi-Structured Interview Data.” Also scheduled are presentations by Elizabeth Castillo (sustainable management) on April 22 and Marc Fudge (public administration) on April 23. All talks will take place at the Faculty Center for Excellence, room PL-4005 in the John M. Pfau Library.
CSUSB student research teams had four papers accepted for presentation at the prestigious IEEE International Conference on Semantic Computing, a leading global conference on data, semantics and artificial intelligence.
