The U.S. News & World Report 2025 Best Colleges rankings listed Cal State San Bernardino at No. 12 nationally for social mobility and No. 48 (the highest ranked California public institution) in its Best Value-National Universities category.
The university also was listed high on the Wall Street Journal’s Student Experience, Best Value, Best Colleges and Best Salaries categories. In addition, Cal State San Bernardino was one of 25 new colleges to be listed in the ranking’s top 50 this year, “serving their students especially well and leaving them broadly satisfied with their college experience,” the newspaper reported.
Cal State San Bernardino earned a 4.5-star rating in Money magazine’s 2024 list of Best Colleges and recognized as a top school in the nation for affordability, quality of education and student outcomes.
CSUSB, which ranked No. 10, was compared to over 300 other institutions nationwide, and is also the only California State University to make the top 100.
The Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education magazine ranking looks at institutions that not only enroll the highest number of Hispanic/Latino students, but also the proportion of these students on a campus.
The documentary by Ahlam Muhtaseb (communication studies), “1948: Creation & Catastrophe,” is being shown to Australian audiences by the organizers of the postponed 2023 Palestinian Film Festival Australia to promote an increased understanding of the Israel-Hamas conflict, and Jie Yu (nursing) was quoted in an article about the recent ranking of the Department of Nursing.
Jie Yu (nursing) commented on the CSUSB nursing department’s national ranking, and Kelly Campbell (psychology) was quoted in an article about the personal finance website, WalletHub, listing Texas among the most-stressed states.
Allnurses, the largest online nursing community and career support site, ranked CSUSB at No. 7 for having one of the best RN to BSN programs in California.
Washington Monthly has listed CSUSB at No. 12 in the West in the Best Bang for the Buck category and No. 29 in its National University Rankings.
