The Greater Riverside Chambers of Commerce’s award is being given to Brown-Hinds for her dedication in media and journalism, and she will be formally recognized at a luncheon on Thursday, May 25.
Mary M. Heckmann, who is also a CSUSB alumna, will receive an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters at the College of Arts and Letters and the James R. Watson and Judy Rodriguez Watson College of Education Commencement, scheduled for May 20.
Dorene C. Dominguez will receive an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters at the commencement ceremony for the Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration on May 20 at the Toyota Arena in Ontario.
Paulette Brown-Hinds, who is the founder of Voice Media Ventures and a second-generation publisher of the Black Voice News, earned a BA in English literature from CSUSB.
CSUSB has named Randall W. Lewis, philanthropist and executive vice president for marketing with The Lewis Group of Companies, a recipient of an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree.
