The Veterans Success Center at Cal State San Bernardino’s Palm Desert Campus will pay tribute to fallen service members at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, on the front patio of the campus’ Palm Desert Health Sciences Building. A presentation of the colors will be presented by the Desert Hot Springs Marine Corps Junior ROTC and “The Star Spangled Banner” will be performed by the Rancho Mirage High School Chamber Choir. There will be a keynote address given by a senior officer from the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center at Twentynine Palms and a chaplain will give a Moment of Reflection. The ceremony will conclude with a 21-gun salute, the playing of taps by the American Legion Post 739 in Indio and “Amazing Grace” played on bagpipes by Joel Daniels, a retired United State Marine Corps gunnery sergeant. Refreshments will be served following the ceremony and tours of the campus’ Veterans Success Center will be offered. To RSVP and obtain a parking permit, please contact Deborah Buck at (909) 537-5195 or dbuck@csusb.edu.  The CSUSB Palm Desert Campus is located at 37-500 Cook St. The CSUSB Palm Desert Campus offers bachelor’s and master’s degrees, a doctorate in educational leadership, and teacher credentials and certificates.
