Photos by Rodrigo Pena/CSUSBCal State San Bernardino hosted its second annual 5Kid’s Run on April 6 to benefit the university’s Infant and Toddler Lab School. The event began outside the Infant and Toddler Lab School on the north side of the Social and Behavioral Sciences Building, and took participants on routes around and on campus with a 5K (3.1-mile) course and a shorter Kid’s Course. The event also included fun activities for children. The event aims to raise awareness about early childhood education and the importance of the first five years of education in kids. Proceeds from the event also provided funding to help student parents continue to receive high quality childcare for their children and help the CSUSB Infant and Toddler Lab School raise money to support a new infant room set to open in the fall.
