A 5K run to benefit the Infant and Toddler Lab School at Cal State San Bernardino is set for Saturday, April 21, on the campus.
The 5Kid's Run aims to bring awareness to the campus community and the community at large about early childhood education and the mission and purpose of the Infant and Toddler Lab School. This 5K will provide funding to help CSUSB student-parents continue to receive high quality childcare for their children.
The registration fee is $25 per person for the 5K.
The run, which will start outside the Infant and Toddler Lab School at the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences building (near parking Lot M and the West Parking Structure), starts at 9 a.m.
Two options are offered to participants:
- 5K Course: This will be a two-lap course around the campus of CSUSB that will total a traditional 5K (3.1 mile) length; and the
- Kid's Course/Family Track option for families who wish to participate and run in a shorter course.
There will be one flat fee, $35, per family. All family members (up to six) will have the option to choose which course to participate in. For example, a family of four (two adults and two children), with one adult participating in the 5K and one adult and two children participating in the Kids Course, will pay one registration fee of $35.
For more information, or to register for the event, visit the Infant and Toddler Lab School 5K Run registration webpage at csusb.edu/5kids-run.
The Infant and Toddler Lab School at CSUSB provides an exemplary educational facility for young children ages 6 months to 3 years for CSUSB students, faculty, staff and community. Housed in the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences building, the Infant and Toddler Lab School is dedicated to providing an exemplary early childhood education program for children and families. It also serves as a model of developmentally appropriate practices for practicum students enrolled in human development courses at the university. The lab school provides student-parents the peace of mind needed to focus on their studies, while still remaining close by if their children need them.
