The Robert and Frances Fullerton Museum of Art (RAFFMA) at Cal State San Bernardino will present an Artists in Conversation panel on Thursday, Nov. 14, from 4-6 p.m.
The exhibition, Made in California, currently on view at RAFFMA, presents Wayne Shimabukuro’s insightful portrait photographs of close to 40 renowned California artists alongside their often iconic works of different genres and mediums, all made in California from the mid-1960s through today. The result is eclectic, very Southern California! But what does it mean to be a California artist? How is the artists’ relationship with the Golden State reflected in their work? What defines Southern California art scene and art?
Join us for a special event in conjunction with the exhibition, in which Wayne Shimabukuro and five of the artists in the exhibition – Blue McRight, HK Zamani, Hung Viet Nguyen, Monique Prieto and Phyllis Green – will share their art and experiences in a fun and informal panel discussion.
This event is free and open to the public. Parking at Cal State San Bernardino is $6 per vehicle and available for purchase at the museum front desk.
