Meredith Conroy, CSUSB assistant professor of political science and a FiveThirtyEight contributor, co-wrote and article with FiveThirtyEight writer about the prospects of Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s backers moving into either the camps of former Vice President Joe Biden or Sen. Bernie Sanders.
“On the surface, it seems as if Warren supporters might be more inclined to vote for Sanders,” they wrote. “After all, the vast majority of Warren’s voters in the Super Tuesday states for which we have exit polls identified as somewhat or very liberal (81 percent), which might make them seem like they’d be more ideologically simpatico with Sanders. But there are several reasons that her supporters might not move en masse to Sanders’s camp.”

Wang Family Excellence Award winner Brian Levin honored at reception

Cal State San Bernardino criminal justice professor and director of the university’s Center for the Study of Hate and Extremism Brian Levin was honored for his work and winning the 2020 CSU Wang Family Excellence Award at a reception on Feb. 27.
“Brian exemplifies Cal State San Bernardino’s mission to provide valuable and dedicated instruction to our students and in serving our community for the greater good,” said CSUSB Provost Shari McMahan, who hosted the reception.
