The Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration at Cal State San Bernardino has named graduate student Teoxihuitl Sintora and undergraduate Harman Dhillon as its two outstanding graduates for the 2019-20 academic year.

Sintora, who is the first in her family to graduate from college, earned a master of science degree in accounting and is the JHBC Outstanding Graduate Student, while Dhillon is the college’s Outstanding Undergraduate Student, completing a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

Sintora and Dhillon were to have been honored at the Jack H. Brown College’s June Commencement Ceremony, but because of the COVID-19 pandemic, large gatherings, such as the university’s five commencement ceremonies, have been postponed. A new date for the commencements will be announced when it is determined that the ceremonies can be held safely.

Sintora was the vice president of operations and reporter for Beta Alpha Psi Iota eta 215, treasurer for the university’s student accounting association, and the Inland Empire CalCPA campus ambassador/representative for 2019-20.

Sintora received recognition of achievement on the dean's list for the Jack H. Brown College in 2019, student achievement for Beta Alpha Psi, and was inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma with a GPA of 3.910. She interned at the County of San Bernardino-Auditor-Controller/Treasurer/Tax Collector office, and participated in the university’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program until it was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She received the Becker scholarship award and is currently studying for the Certified Public Accountant exam.

Dhillon, who received her bachelor’s degree in business with a concentration in international business, was inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma International Business Honor Society in her second year at CSUSB, which she credited with giving her the confidence to connect with several Jack H. Brown College faculty members and earn a fellowship from the college’s Office of Academic Equity.

She also worked in various campus programs that included the Office of Orientation and First Year Experience, and the Student Mentoring Program. Those leadership roles allowed her to help advocate for student success.

In addition, Dhillon had the opportunity to study abroad in Spain and Sweden as part of the JHBC’s Center for Global Management, and used this experience to enhance her cultural proficiency and complete “Factors and Conditions that Affect the Relationship between Tourists and Locals,” a senior research project with the University Honors Program. Dhillon is deeply passionate about helping others and achieving excellence through persistence and dedication.
