The U.S. Department of Homeland Security is warning of the potential for more violence from people motivated by anti-government sentiment after President Joe Biden's election. But officials have not identified a specific threat as of today. For more, KCBS Radio news anchor Rebecca Corral spoke with Brian Levin, director of the Center for the Study of Hate and Extremism at Cal State San Bernardino.

CSUSB professor interviewed about arrest of California man plotting against governor, social media companies

Brian Levin, director of the Center for the Study of Hate and Extremism at Cal State San Bernardino, was interviewed for an article about the arrest of a suspected far-right extremist who faces federal explosive charges.
Levin discussed the suspect’s alleged affiliation with a group known as the Three Percenters. He described the group as a national organization of “2nd amendment insurrectionists” whose members “maintain when the government acts tyrannical, they have a subjective right to armed rebellion.”
The suspect may have been targeting California Gov. Gavin Newsom and the San Francisco Bay Area headquarters of social media giants Twitter and Facebook, according to the FBI.
