Cal State San Bernardino will hold its fall Commencement ceremonies on Sunday, Dec. 11, at the Toyota Arena in Ontario after flooding in September severely damaged the university’s Coussoulis Arena, which had been the site of previous fall graduation exercises.
About 1,420 students have registered for Commencement at the arena, 4000 Ontario Center Parkway.
The ceremonies will be:
- 1 p.m. – College of Arts & Letters, and the College of Social & Behavioral Sciences – 671 students
- 5:30 p.m. – Jack H. Brown College of Business & Public Administration, James R. Watson & Judy Rodriguez Watson College of Education, and the College of Natural Sciences – 749 students
The flooding from Tropical Storm Kay on Sept. 11 resulted in the flooding of 18 CSUSB campus buildings with an estimated cost of $20 million in damages to the university. The damage included the destruction of the recently replaced floor in the Coussoulis Arena. The arena will be closed through the remainder of the 2022-23 academic year.
