The Robert and Frances Fullerton Museum of Art (RAFFMA) at Cal State San Bernardino proudly presents "Echoes of Identity," an exhibition featuring the works of master of fine arts’ students, Keleigh McMullen, Katherine Posada, Antonia Jones and Pedro Aceves. The exhibition will be on display at the Dutton Gallery Feb. 8-18.
"Echoes of Identity" marks a significant milestone for these talented artists as they showcase a culmination of works created during their masters of fine arts’ program. Each piece in the exhibition reflects deeply personal narratives, offering viewers an intimate glimpse into the artists' journeys of self-discovery and introspection.
The gallery space has been thoughtfully curated to explore a myriad of themes central to the human experience, including gender and cultural identity, mental health and self-discovery. Through a diverse array of artistic mediums and techniques, McMullen, Posada, Jones and Aceves invite audiences to engage with their work on a profound level, encouraging reflection and dialogue.
“The common theme of the exhibition is the exploration of different aspects of personal identity, including cultural, sexual, and gender,” said Alison Petty Ragguette, graduate coordinator and professor of art and design. “These artists take a sincere and bold approach to their own personal narratives and courageously share their deeply personal experience through their art work. This exhibition is not to be missed.”
The opening reception for "Echoes of Identity" took place on Feb. 8 from 4-6 p.m. at the Dutton Gallery. This event offered an exclusive opportunity to meet the artists, engage with their work firsthand and celebrate their artistic achievements.
