On Tuesday, Sept. 10, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., CSUSB’s Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration (JHBC) will host the JHBC Resource Fair, designed to provide business students with a comprehensive overview of the resources, opportunities and support systems available to them as they embark on the 2024-25 academic year.
The JHBC Resource Fair offers students an opportunity to explore the various clubs, organizations, and programs within the college. This event is ideal for new students who are eager to get involved and for returning students who are looking to deepen their connections within the JHBC community, as well as for them to build their networks, connect with peers, find academic support and establish the foundation for a successful academic year.
“As a two-time CSUSB alum and staff member, my most cherished college experience involved collaborating and networking with my peers, knowing that I had the backing of faculty, staff, and ample resources. Every college student deserves that experience,” said Marina Kamel, MBA, ’16, ’24, underscoring the invaluable support system that JHBC students have access to.
The event will be spread across different floors of the Jack Brown Hall building to ensure students have access to a wide range of resources. On the first floor, the JHBC Lobby will feature tables representing the various clubs and success-oriented centers within the college. The MBA and other business graduate programs, as well as the Associated Students Inc. (ASI) and the Speaking Center at JHBC, will also provide information and answer questions. A resource info booth will be available for students to inquire about career opportunities and upcoming events.
The rest of the business departments and resources will be located on the second and fourth floors of Jack Brown Hall. Students will have the chance to meet with the dean, faculty and staff on the second floor. The School of Entrepreneurship and the Center for Cyber & AI are also located in the hallway on that floor.
On the fourth floor, students can connect with their specific academic departments, including accounting and finance, marketing, management, public administration and information decision sciences. Department offices and the JHBC Professional Writing Office will be open, with faculty and department chairs available to meet with students. This provides an excellent opportunity for students to gain insights and guidance as they navigate their academic journey.
