The President’s DEI Board Faculty Recruitment, Retention, and Development Subcommittee is seeking nominations for the inaugural Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Faculty Impact Award for the 2024-25 academic year.

The award will recognize a faculty member who demonstrates an exceptional commitment to advancing diversity, equity and inclusion in teaching, research/creative activities, programming, service and/or community outreach.

Nominations by faculty, staff and students may be submitted online at the CSUSB 2024-25 Diversity, Equity, And Inclusion Faculty Impact Award webpage by April 26.

Eligibility Requirements: Nominees must be tenure-line faculty or full- or part-time lecturers with a minimum of three years of consecutive CSUSB service.

Nomination Process: Candidates should be nominated based on meritorious work above and beyond their assigned duties. Nominations should focus on one or more of the following criteria (limit each response to 250 words):

  1. The candidate's efforts to promote and advocate for a campus environment that is welcoming, inclusive, and nurturing of cultural, ethnic, racial, class, gender, sexual orientation, language, and other human differences.
  2. The candidate's contribution to raising awareness about diversity, equity, and inclusion within the context of CSUSB's mission and for the greater good of the university community and region.
  3. The candidate's demonstrated impact on the CSUSB community in terms of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  4. The extent to which the candidate's CV reflects a holistic manifestation of diversity, equity, and inclusion activities.
