The ACE Women’s Network of Southern California, part of the American Council on Education, will hold its spring Lunch and Learn conference Friday, March 20, at California State University, San Bernardino, bringing together higher education leaders from across the region to explore women’s leadership and new pathways to leading.

Hosted in partnership with CSUSB’s Growing Leadership Opportunities for Women (GLOW) group, the event will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the San Manuel Student Union North on campus.

The conference, titled “Leading on Our Own Terms,” will feature a panel of senior leaders from the University of California, the California State University and the California Community Colleges systems. Panelists include Wenda Fong, member of the California State University Board of Trustees; Berenecea Johnson Eanes, president of California State University, Los Angeles; Martha Garcia, president of Mt. San Antonio College; and Elizabeth Watkins, provost and executive vice chancellor at the University of California, Riverside.

Kelly Campbell, CSUSB vice provost, accreditation liaison officer and a senior diversity officer, founded GLOW and serves on the board of the ACE Women’s Network of Southern California.

“This event is designed to create space for women leaders to share how they navigate leadership in ways that reflect their values, voices and lived experiences,” Campbell said. “By bringing together leaders from across all three public higher education systems, we hope to foster meaningful dialogue and connection that supports women at every stage of their leadership journey.”

Campbell noted that the Lunch and Learn will celebrate women who are reshaping traditional leadership models and crafting approaches that reflect authenticity and purpose. Attendees are expected to include faculty, staff and administrators from colleges and universities throughout Southern California, as well as community partners and organizations whose goals align with the mission of pursuing leadership opportunities in higher education.

The cost is $70 for CSUSB campus members and $85 for non-campus participants. For more information and to register, visit the ACE Women's Network – Southern California – Lunch and Learn Eventbrite webpage.
