
The grant will fund the creation of a new certificate program designed to help students become proficient in Spanish while gaining valuable business and administration skills.

Lacey Kendall (communication studies lecturer) will serve as host of Growing Inland Achievement’s summit today and Wednesday in Riverside, Treasure Ortiz (public administration lecturer) is on the Nov. 5 ballot for the San Bernardino City Council’s Ward 7, and Alex Lara (education lecturer) also is on the ballot, running for re-election for the Redlands Unified School District’s Board of Trustees’ Area 4.

On Sept. 28 at the Alumni Center, Cal State San Bernardino hosted the New & Newly Promoted and/or Tenured Faculty Brunch, bringing together faculty and administrators to celebrate newly hired, tenured and promoted faculty members.

Jose Navarrete-Cruz and Francisca Beer (finance and accounting) were interviewed for separate articles on topics related to personal finance, such as credit cards and how biases influence purchasing decisions, and Brian Levin (criminal justice, emeritus) discussed what drives antisemitism.
