The immersive program, which took place during their spring break in April, was designed to provide students with firsthand exposure to the vibrant hospitality industry of Italy and offered participants hands-on learning and professional development opportunities.
For student Justus Baker-Postell, her time at CSUSB has been defined by dedication and perseverance. Despite changing her major, adding a minor, and managing two on-campus jobs, she earned six scholarships and stayed on track for graduation. As she gets closer to graduation, Baker-Postell reflects on the supportive community that has helped her turn challenges into opportunities for growth.
CSUSB’s Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration will host its annual Business Career & Internship Fair on April 10, offering students the opportunity to network with Inland Empire employers and explore career and internship opportunities. The event, free to CSUSB students, will be held at the SMSU South Events Center from 2-5 p.m. Registration is required.
Michelle Russen (hospitality management/marketing) worked with a team to publish a study on masculine and feminine leadership traits in hospitality managers, and Mike Stull (entrepreneurship) was interviewed for the radio program “Southern California Business Report.”
The lecture series launches its spring semester talks with a presentation by Debora Perez Torres, assistant professor of communication studies, on Feb. 12. Also scheduled are presentations by Michelle Russen (marketing), Yolonda Youngs (geography) and Hannah Kivalahula-Uddin (education). All talks are free and open to the public.
The Coyote Comedy Fest is returning to Cal State San Bernardino for its 11th annual show on Dec. 6 at Santos Manuel Student Union North. Tickets are available now.
“I’m grateful that I was able to attend CSUSB,” said Brenda Angel ’18, artist and alumna of CSUSB’s College of Arts and Letters. “Now I’m able to continue a career in art because of the education I received.”

Brown College of Business and Public Administration is hosting the JHBC Resource Fair, which is designed to provide business students with a comprehensive overview of the resources, opportunities and support systems available to them as they embark on the 2024-25 academic year.
