The 16th edition of the journal was awarded second place in the 2023 Gerald D. Nash History Journal Competition – Graduate Print Division by the Phi Alpha Theta National History Honor Society. It marks the sixth consecutive year that the journal has been honored by Phi Alpha Theta.

The journal is an annual publication of the university’s Alpha Delta Nu Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta National History Honor Society, and is sponsored by the CSUSB Department of History.
The journal won the 2019 Gerald D. Nash History Journal First Prize, awarded by the Phi Alpha Theta National History Honor Society.
The 2019 Best Chapter Award from the Phi Alpha Theta National History Honor Society also is the fifth award overall received by CSUSB students for their work.
