
A GoFundMe page has been established to raise funds to purchase much needed items for the Orthandweni Family Care Centre, an orphanage that cares for abused, abandoned or orphaned children, and which the students will visit while in South Africa this summer.

Students participated in a variety of activities, visited iconic landmarks and immersed themselves in Italian culture.

Students will go behind the scenes at various venues and attractions and interact with local professionals at numerous cultural points of interest.

CSUSB will celebrate International Education Week Nov. 15-19 featuring live and virtual presentations, discussions and symposiums.

In addition, they were able to donate much needed supplies of diapers, wipes and space heaters to the Othandweni Family Care Centre.

From cobblestone streets in European cities to lush greenery in tropical paradises, Cal State San Bernardino offers students an array of locations to study abroad.

An information session, led by Grant Minagawa from Consulate General of Japan in Los Angeles, will be held Wednesday, April 25, from 2-3 p.m. in the John M. Pfau Library, PL-0013.

The delegation’s visit included tours of the campus, university housing and meetings with various CSUSB administrators and faculty.

The nine undergraduate students participated in the summer study abroad program, and were in South Africa on July 18, which marked the 100th anniversary of Mandela’s birth.
